The following was found on Ancestry.com in “Missouri Marriage Records, 1805-2002. John and Sophia Davidson were my husband’s third great-grandparents. They moved on to Kansas in 1854.
I, William Stevens an ordained minister of the Gospel do hereby certify that I did on the 18th of January A.D. 1842 solemnize the rites of matrimony between John C. Davidson and Sophia Talbott both being of lawful age. Given under my hand this 14th day of February A.D. 1842.
