I survived being in the car with 5 kids for 30 days and 9,000 miles.
We made it to Savannah and I’m sitting in my new house as I type this. It’s an empty house, but it’s mine. I’m enjoying the wide open spaces in here after the confines of the van.
We should be getting our household goods in another week or so and then my life can return to normal. I’m looking forward to some normalness. After having been “homeless” for 2 months, I’m very ready to go back to doing dishes and laundry and cooking dinner in my own space. A hotel is not home.
I didn’t get quite as much genealogy done on the trip as I had hoped, but I did have some great finds! I will be posting about them in the coming weeks.
